Imagine you were lucky to be picked to take a short flight in an F16 fighter aircraft. A chance in a lifetime. One can imagine the excitement. In a commercial plane you reach 10,000 ft in about 5 to 7 minutes. An F16 going straight up reaches 12,000 ft in 2 ½ seconds. Such a flight pulls 6 ½g. This would be uncomfortable for many of us despite the thrill.
The pilots are always the ones that get the glory and experiencing such a flight can probably see why, but getting a pilot airborne is down to teamwork; a dedicated, committed and devoted team of people.

Although most of us know results are gained through teamwork, many don’t give enough credit to all that are involved in getting results. Occasionally you may get a lucky break - maybe? Success is down to one thing, not capacity, not our own brains, not how good your product is, but the value in what we are doing and committed to help.

There are responsible people on our teams that do not bring glory and who’s impact will never be seen and never be known until it is too late. We know they are there and maybe the people who we take for granted. We should respect those that are not so glorious.

So what is Leadership? Adapting to situations, adjusting to style of leadership to situations is not leadership, but management. Leaders have one thing – followers. These followers are not forced, but are willing. These are the people who raise their hand and follow you. They believe in what you believe. They are inspired by you and your actions. They are enthused by the value you offer. You need to become a leader especially when looking to be successful with Ideas Working From Home.

People in Apple are mission focused. Just believe in the hype. Steve Jobs (Co Founder and the forma CEO of Apple) was not special when he started his company. Other successful entrepreneurs like Mike Dell, Howard Shultz, Bill Gates etc when they founded their companies had great ideas, were great visionaries and were all committed to a cause greater than themselves and inspired others to join them. So why did Steve never lose this inspiration where the others have? The upshot is Steve is dying with cancer.

Think about when people are carefree. When we are children and teenagers, nothing bad can happen to us. We don’t care. As we become more experienced as adults, we lose it as we become embellished in the traffic of life. So when do we get this carefree feeling back? When we get old. An old person will tell you what they think and they don’t care either. An older person is more concerned about their legacy.

Young people think about their future (what to give) whilst the old people think about what they leave will behind. Between these stages, we are fearful and fear holds us back.

The more we became obsessed with our business the more we become disconnected from life. We hide behind screens, measure numbers, look at sales, revenues, complex costs and rearrange the numbers to make them go the way we want them to go – tell a story. Do you find this? One plays with the numbers to make them look good or as bad as they want – that’s what we do.

You maybe selling a product or service, but many are not interested in the technology, but more interested to know how it can benefit them! ‘Will it help me, make something easier, simpler or bring a level of enjoyment’.

How do you improve someone’s life? By providing value. Value is a feeling. People will get that feeling through senses. All the best ideas are based on what people have experienced. The best are built by people who have suffered in one way or another. This is truly bringing value.

Excel was developed by Microsoft as they needed a way to track numbers. They thought it was so good they put it on the market.

99% of businesses are founded by an individual or a group of people who innovated the idea to solve their problem. On that idea they built a company.

The companies that struggle, keep throwing money at the problem and are likely to go bankrupt as those that ‘saw an opportunity in the market’. This is not adding value, but wanting to make money. For these people, everything is me, me, me. How do I get rich? How do I lose weight – etc rather than how do I help the person next to me to lose weight or how do I help the person across the road to become rich.

Simple things can help people. For instance, the whistle with the little ball in was a problem to a referee. The ref got tied with the ball filling up with spit. To overcome this pain, he developed a whistle without a ball in it. Has he been rewarded for fixing this problem? The fact he is now a millionaire may give the answer away.

Problems are all around us. You share in the pain so why not be the one to come up with the solution and share this solution with others.

Be willing to help someone today.

We can all aspire to achieve better things. It may be a case of changing direction and doing something you have never done, but always dreamt of. I’m helping people to think positively about the future and how best use their time. I believe that people can find a way within to pursue an idea and a vision. We all have the ability to take control of our lives, but many just don’t know it or know how.

In the forever changing world, people are getting tired of working for others, having the lack of time to do the things they wish to do and basically wanting to earn enough to fulfil their needs - pleasures and leisure’s. As a result of this, it is surprising how many around the world are looking for an answer – an answer to resolve their dissatisfaction in life. Could pursing your Ideas Working From Home be the answer?

Do you ever feel whether the educational system has done us any favours? Yes they teach us the basic needs, and this is important. But is the system outdated? I heard something to suggest the educational system has been based on times of the industrial revolution. What is meant by this is that we are educated in such a way to do well at school so that we can pursue a job once we leave school – a job working for others. Yes you get paid for the hours you work, but ultimately it is your boss that is sitting there comfortable reaping the real benefits due to your labour.

Although the educational system is based on old ideas, this still suits the majority of people, in fact 97% of people. But what if you were in the 3% bracket and want to do something different. Not to follow what the majority are doing. What about if you were looking for a way to work for yourself, be your own boss and charge of your destiny?

Working for yourself or building a small business takes vision, commitment, effort, focus, tenacity, passion and so on. Let’s face it, these skills are not encouraged or taught at school. These are mindsets and strategies required to succeed in a business today. It is what the 3% of the population grasp and tackle with to become an entrepreneur. The other 97% of people just fit into the system that has been pulled over our eyes.

‘Entrepreneurs dream of great ideas to build a business and with a dream start off as an underdog. However, those that follow the road less travelled will find new industries, enterprises and products. They will inspire those around them and push everyone’s levels to the highest possible achievement. They emerge no longer as an underdog, but someone who has a great standing. They stand up and are heard.’

For many, it will be uncomfortable to think of owning your own business due to our schooling and up bringing. However, we all have the ability to change and recondition ourselves to try something new and different. Saying this, it is not for the weak and the journey will be demanding and tough, but despite this, many are giving it a go.

Building a business at home is achievable but for many means new skills and to learn new skills means you need to be teachable. Regardless of age or background, how teachable are you? Are you willing to learn, unlearn and relearn? No new skills means no new money! You must have that hungriness in wanting to grow, then watch your business take off and reach new heights. Get away from the Victorian method of teaching and get serious to what will make a real difference to your life.

There is this saying ‘it’s what you learn once you know it all that counts’. Once you stop learning you stop leading. This is important as running your own business requires leadership skills and this is a separate topic for another day. So to learn means you need to be teachable and driven by desire.

‘Learn to Learn!’

In the space of being teachable, nothing is interesting unless you are interesting. Successful people learn differently to unsuccessful people. Make a difference to your business today. Don’t just sit there and tick over, learn the skills necessary to take your business forward. Learn how to leverage time v money. Be smart and do something right today.

Stand up and be heard. Become teachable and become a new person to take your business forward, become a true leader and a successful entrepreneur. Aspire to be the number 1 home business.
